McLaren smacked home a shot from just inside the top of the circle after receiving a penalty corner insertion from Hannah Plappert '16 with 5:28 left in the first half. Wellesley grabbed the lead with a pair of goal, both off penalty corners, in a span of less than two minuytes early in the second half. With time winding down, Vanessa Block '15 centered a pass from the right side that Murray, standing in front of the goal, redirected high into the back of the cage to even the count at 2-2 with 9:01 to play. Two minutes later, Wellesley converted another penalty corner, just its fourth of the game at the time (the Blue finished with five corners) into the game winner. Wesleyan, despite a 19-6 edge in total shots and a 13-5 margin in corners, was unable to produce the equalizer in the final seven minutes. The loss ended Wesleyan's outstanding 14-game win streak against non-conference foes as the team had swept its non-NESCAC opponents in 2009, 2010 and 2011, including three wins over Wellesley.
