Cardinals Capture 15 of 16 Events to Make Short Work of Brandeis in 207-70 Victory

Led by Angela Slevin '15 (left-side photo) and Cara Colker-Eybel '13 (right-side photo), as each was part of four first-place finishes for the Cardinals, Wesleyan rolled past Brandeis in the final meet of the first semester Sat., Dec. 1, 207-70.  Slevin was the individual winner in both the 200 free and the 200 back while joining forces with Rachel Hirsch '15, Alyssa Savarino '14 and Katie Havlovic '13 for a win in the 200 medley relay.  She also combined with Savarino, Colker-Eybel and Ally Anderson '13 for victory in the 200 free relay.

Colker-Eybel claimed first place in the 1000 free, the 100 free and the 200 IM.  Two others produced a pair of individual titles -- Hirsch (100 breast and 500 free) and diver Carly Feinman '16, who captured both the 1m and 3m boards.  Savarino added a win in the 100 fly to her relay triumph.  Three additional Cardinals posted a single win as Liyan Yao '16 took the 100 back; Amanda Distler '15 won the 200 fly; and Erin Cohn '15 grabbed the 200 breast.

Wesleyan will be in action again Sat., Jan. 5 when the team travels to Providence to face both the Friars and Brown in a three-team meet.
