Cardinals Have 9 Top-3 Finishes at Little 3 Meet Led by Agbon Edomwonyi '16, Will Sawyer '16 & Skyler Cummins '13

Agbon Edomwonyi '16 (left side photo), Will Sawyer '16 (right side photo) and Skyler Cummins '13 (photo insert middle) all claimed top prizes during the annual Little Three meet, this year hosted by Williams Sat., April 20.  As a team, Wesleyan placed third with 97 points as Williams secured the team title with 169 points.  Amherst was second with 111.

Edomwonti took the shot put with a 46-11 toss.  Sawyer won the pole vault (12-3 1/2) and Cummins was victorious in the 1500m (3:57.10).  Wesleyan dominated ther 1500m race as Austin Cotant '13 took second in the event.  Wesleyan other second-place effort came from the 4x100m relay quartet of Luca Ameri '15, James Dottin '13, Paulie Lowther '13 and Noah Nichols '14.  Four third-place performances were turned in by Ameri in the 400m, Taylor Titcomb '16 in the 5k, Shane Bernard '14 in the triple jump and Alex Ward '16 in the long jump.

Up next for the squad is a trip to Tufts Sat., April 27, for the NESCAC Championships.
