With #1 John Steele '14, #4 Ethan Moritz '14 and #5 Daniel Sneed '15 all taking their matches by a 3-2 score, Wesleyan was able to overcome a threat by Conn. College on the first day of competition Sat., Nov. 16, and come away with a hard-fought 7-2 victory. The team will be at MIT Sat., Nov. 23 for its next action, facing both the host and Boston College as part of the annual Boston Round Robin.
While Guy Davidson '16 (photo), at #2, made relative ease of his win with an 11-4, 11-5, 11-6 conquering, it took fifth-game wins by Steele (11-4), Moritz (11-3) and Sneed (11-8) to wrap up the Wesleyan win. Also decisive with a 3-0 win at #9 was Grant Lounsbury '17. Also triumphant for Wesleyan was Xander Nassikas '14 at #6 (3-1) and Raheem Logan '16 at #7 (3-1).
