Jenna Klaes '14 Selected to Play in NEWBA Senior All-Star Classsic at Smith College March 29

Jenna Klaes '14 (#14, photo) is one of 22 New England Division III women's basketball players selected to participate in the annual New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) senior all-star classic, this year to be held at Smith College Sat., March 29 at 1 p.m. Klaes guided the Cardinals from her point-guard spot to a 12-12 overall record while averaging 8.9 points, 3.1 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.9 steals.  Hampered by injuries during her career, Klaes played in just two games her junior year after coming off the bench to play in all 23 games as a freshman, then starting all 23 games her sophomore season while averaging 7.2 points, 2.8 rebounds and 3.2 assists a game.  

Wesleyan posted a 3-7 record in NESCAC play in 2013-14 and earned the #8 seed in the NESCAC tournament.  The Cardinals fell to Tufts in a first-round playoff contest as Tufts went on to capture its first-ever NESCAC title.
