JENNA FLATEMAN, PATRICK MOFFETT ALL-AMERICANS IN INDOOR
TRACK
(Flateman Places Fourth in 55m Dash for Fourth Straight Honor, Moffett
Finishes 7th in 55m Hurdles)
Jenna Flateman, a senior at Wesleyan University and
resident of Barre, Vt., placed fourth in the 55-meter dash at the NCAA
Division III indoor track championships at the University of
Wisconsin-Whitewater. Her time was :07.16. Diana Lawson of New Jersey City
U. won the title with a time of :06.97.
It is Flateman's fourth consecutive All-America honor
as the top eight finishers are All-Americans. Flateman was fourth at the
2001 meet, second at the 2002 and captured a national title in 2003.
Wesleyan senior Pat Moffett, a native of Westport,
Conn., finished seventh in the 55-meter hurdles, timed in :07.65. The
winning time was turned in by Basil Steele of Dubuque with a time of
:07.44. Moffett has attended the NCAA outdoor track & field championships
in the 110-meter hurdles twice but this was his first trip to the indoor
championships.
