JENNA FLATEMAN '04, CAITLIN SNOW '03 EARN ALL-AMERICA LAURELS AT NCAA TRACK

Jenna Flateman '04 repeated as an NCAA Division III indoor track All-American, the first Wesleyan runner ever to do so, when she finished second in the 55-meter dash at the Championships hosted by Ohio Northern University March 8-9. Joining Flateman as an All-American is Cailtin Snow '03, whose weight throw effort of 49-8 1/4 was good enough for eighth place nationally. She is the first thrower at Wesleyan to receive national honors indoors.

Flateman was timed in :07.23 during trials, the sixth fastest time in the qualifying heats, placing her in the group of eight competitors for the finals. There she was clocked in :07.16. Though slightly slower than the team record she set at last year's NCAA Championships, when she ran a :07.09, she improved her final placing from fourth a year ago to second this year.

Flateman hails from Barre, Vt. and attended Northfield Mt. Hermon School in Northfield, Mass. Snow is a graduate of Rockland District HS and is a resident of Spruce Head, Me.
