BOB CHIAPETTA NAMED OUTSTANDING EQUIPMENT MANAGER BY AAFF
(Wesleyan Manager of Intercollegiate Operations Honored by All-American Football Foundation)

     At the All-American Football Foundation's 81st Banquet of Champions held at the Marriott Hotel in Newton, Mass., Thursday, December 7, 2006, Wesleyan University Director of Intercollegiate Operations Bob Chiapetta was one of 27 individuals honored in 12 categories ranging from outstanding athletic director to top assistant coach.  Chiapetta received the outstanding equipment manager award.
     Coming to Wesleyan in August, 1985, Chiapetta has been in charge of Wesleyan's athletic equipment room as well as handling numerous other functions relating to athletic contest management for 22 years.  Prior to assuming his position at Wesleyan, Chiapetta served in a similar function at Brandeis University from 1981 through 1985.  His first position in equipment management came from 1978 through 1981 at Dean Junior College in Franklin, Mass.
    Chiapetta is a native of Oneonta, N.Y. and attended Oneonta High School.
