Ben Byers and Amanda Shapiro Academic All Americans

    Two  Cardinals have received Academic All American Status for the Spring of 2007.  Ben Byers and Amanda Shapiro had outstanding performances both in the pool and in the classroom. Byers finished 15th in the 500 free (4:35.05) and 14th in the 1650 free (15:54.08 ) at NCAA's while Shapiro swam to a 5th place finish in the 100 breaststroke (1:05.04) and 16th place in the 200 breaststroke (2:23.14).  Byers and Shapiro completed these amazing swims while maintaining  a GPA of 3.5 or above.
