The Cardinal Masters program was started in 2003. The program trains here at Wesleyan University Pool. The program is open to all swimmers 19 years and over. We have swimmers of all abilities and age levels. We have tri-athletes, ex-collegiate and high school swimmers, and people looking for a way to get into shape. Practices are written daily and administered by the head Masters coach or assistants (typically students here at Wesleyan with experience in swim coaching). A coach is on deck at each practice and helps with running the workout and any technical advise the swimmer might like to have. Practice times are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday from 6:30-8pm and Tuesday and Thursday from 6-7:15am. Those wishing to participate must also join the United States Masters Association through Connecticut Masters (links are below). This is an annual membership and allows you to participate in Master's swim meets and open water swims. The cost for participation is $200 for the semester, $60/ for 4 weeks or $10 drop in fee per workout all payable to Wesleyan Swimming and must be paid before workout.
