Cardinals Drop Final Three NESCAC Matches in Maine But Take At Least One Set from All NESCAC Rivals

Closing out the year in Maine against NESCAC rivals Bowdoin, Colby and Bates, the Cardinals came away without a victory from the NESCAC weekend at Bates Fri. and Sat., Oct. 28-29. As a result, Wesleyan ended the year wth an 8-20 overall record and a 1-9 NESCAC mark, leaving them shy of the top eight in the conference and a NESCAC tournament bid. Still the Cardinals took one set from eight if its 10 NESCAC foes while snagging two from Bates and three from Hamilton, demonstrating the team's ability to play with the conference's best. Aside from Bowdoin, only one other NESCAC squad, Trinity, took at least one set from each conference opponent.
