Casey Reed '12 Wins Maynard Award, Cardinals Named NEWVA Academic Squad to Highlight Postseason Honors
Casey Reed '12, who finished as the team's seasonal leader with 2.68 kills per set, received the Maynard Award as Wesleyan's top female scholar-athlete for the 2011-12 academic year during the annual athletic awards banquet Wednesday, May 3, 2012. Reed's award was the second honor for the volleyball squad as Wesleyan was one of 15 teams (six of which are NESCAC institutions) to receive NEWVA's academic team award for a cumulative team GPA of 3.3 or higher.
