After failing to Williams , 3-0, in the first of three NESCAC matches during the final weekend of the regular season Fri., Oct. 26 at Conn. College, Wesleyan rallied to sweep both Middlebury and Hamilton Sat., Oct. 27 to carry a 17-7 overall record into the NESCAC tournament. With their 6-4 NESCAC mark, the Cardinals will be seeded fifth in the eight-team field and will take on fourth-seeded Conn. College in an opening-round match Fri., Nov. 2. Amherst will be the host for the tournament as the top seed. Wesleyan and Conn. College split a pair of 3-2 decisions against each other during the season, Wesleyan winning on a neutral court at MIT and Conn. capturing the NESCAC match at home. Over the final three matches, setter Ellie Healy '10 (#10, photo by SteveMcLaughlinPhotography.com) launched 109 assists in nine games, an average of 12.11 a contest. She came into the weekend leading the NESCAC and ranked 46th nationally in Division III, averaging 11.36 assists a game.
