RACE-BY-RACE SUMMARY OF 1999-2000 WESLEYAN WOMEN'S CREW SEASON

Textile River Regatta - 10/3/99 in Lowell, Mass.
The women had four eights entered in the Textile River Regatta with the "A" boat finishing in a tie for fourth and the "B" boat placing 13th of 32 in the club eight division while the "A" entry was 10th and the "B" entry 19th of 25 in the championship eight division.
 
Head of the Conn. Regatta - 10/10/99 in Middletown, Conn.
Strong performances on the women's side came from both the varsity A and B boats, as they placed fourth and seventh of 44 crews in the intermediate eight division. Wesleyan also had two entries in the novice eight, placing third and sixth of 13 and one in the championship four, finishing 13th of 27. In addition, head coach Beth Emery teamed with Julie Flagg to win the master's doubles race. Wesleyan history professor Claire Potter also competed in the master's singles, placing sixth of 11.
 
Head of the Charles Regatta - 10/23-24/99 in Boston, Mass.
The women had three entries at the Head of the Charles Regatta. The "A" boat placed 42nd of 64 in the championship 8 race while the "B" boat was 34th of 73 crews in the club 8 event. Wesleyan's "A" boat was the third-place finisher among Division III colleges, behind Williams and Colby. In the championship 4 event, Wesleyan was 29th of 30 entries. Also, head coach Beth Emery and partner Julie Flagg teamed for a third-place showing among 19 in the master's doubles.
