FALL NOTES
Textile River Regatta - 10/1/00 in Lowell, Mass.
With three entries on the women's side, Wesleyan posted an 11th-place finish among 30 crews in the club 8 and placed eighth (tied) and 17th of 20 in the open 8 division.
 
Head of the Conn. Regatta - 10/8/00 in Middletown, Conn.
A championship in the intermediate eight race by the women's varsity eight highlighted the performance of the team. Bringing home the gold for Wesleyan were Sonya Koppenwallner, Emmy McQuaid, Joanna Sickler, Erin Burchfield, Lily Goetz, Rachael Seevers, Sarah Nolting, Leslie Burns and cox Lindsay Watson. Wesleyan's second varsity eight placed 17th. On the novice side, Wesleyan was sixth and ninth of 11 entries. For the third year in a row, head coach Beth Emery teammed with Julie Flagg for a first-place finish in the master's doubles event.
 
Head of the Charles Regatta - 10/21-22/00 in Boston, Mass.
In the very competitive championship 8 race, Wesleyan's varsity eight placed 35th of 57 crews.
 
Head of the Fish Regatta - 10/28/00 in Saratoga, N.Y.
With two entries in the main event, Wesleyan posted a 4th- and 15th-place finish among 32 crews.
