FALL NOTES
 
Textile River Regatta - 9/30/01 in Lowell, Mass.
Wesleyan had three team entries in the regatta. In the Club 8, Wesleyan placed 7th (21:03) and 17th (21:35) in a field of 41 entrants. In the Novice 8 race, Wesleyan posted a seventh-place finish (23:21) among 11 crews. In addition, Wesleyan women's crew assistant coach Nicky Williams placed first (27:22) among four racers in the Novice Singles division while Claire Potter, associate professor of history, was fifth (31:56) of six entrants in the Master's Singles race.

Head of the Connecticut Regatta - 10/7/01 in Middletown, Conn.
Wesleyan had four entries in the regatta with a 4th- and 21st-place showing among 37 boats in the Intermediate 8 as the premier activity. In addtion, Wesleyan had two boats compete in the Novice 8, finishing 9th and 12 out of 14.

Head of the Charles Regatta - 10/21-22/01 in Boston, Mass.
Wesleyan had just one entry in the regatta and the crew came through with a solid performance in the Club 8 race, finishing fifth in a field of 55 boats, timed in 17:49.36. Results are still unofficial.
