Community Engagement

Active engagement is at the heart of the successful Wesleyan campus and community experience. Scholar athletes are organized into partnerships with Middletown and area community programs. Experts in every area of the community participate in teaching and mentoring the principles of service learning.
The coach or an equivalent team leader identifies and coordinates his athlete’s volunteer activities. Teams incorporate the educational values experienced during participation in these team activities and build upon the foundation of mutual support and individual improvement that are at the center of Wesleyan athletics.
