1999-00 WOMEN'S ICE HOCKEY COACHING STAFF

Donna Wright - Head Coach

 

A 1987 graduate of Providence College and member of the ECAC championship Friars, Donna Wright began her coaching career in her home state of Connecticut. After graduation, she quickly became involved in South Windsor's Youth Hockey Association coaching at all levels from mite in-house to bantam. From there she had a season's stint at Manchester High School, several spring and summer seasons with the New England Sharks Organization, spent 1993-94 with Brown University, and 1994-95 with Yale University. Returning to the Cardinal bench for her fifth year in 1999-00, Donna has achieved an overall record of 60-33-7 in her four seasons. In addition to her hockey duties, Donna, who holds the rank of adjunct assistant professor of physical education at the University, serves as an assistant women's lacrosse coach in the spring.

 

Dan Arcenas - Assistant Coach

 

A 1993 graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology, Dan is in his fourth season on the Cardinal bench as an assistant. As a Loomis Chaffee standout and Rochester, N.Y. junior B player, Dan has many years of playing experience. Dan also brings with him many years of coaching experience at various levels of youth and junior B hockey in Connecticut and western Massachusetts areas. In addition to coaching ice hockey, Dan will be an assistant coach for men's lacrosse at Wesleyan during the spring of 2000 after serving in this capacity at Eastern Conn. St. U. for several seasons. Along with coaching, Dan is employed as an assistant in Wesleyan's athletic equipment office.
