Kyle Roosa '13 Goes 3-0, Including Pin and Major Decision, to Lead Wrestling to Three Big Wins Starting with 34-10 Blasting of Williams
Facing Williams, Oneonta St. and Plymouth St. in a quad-meet at home Sat., Feb. 4, the Cardinals made short work of each adversary, winning seven of 10 bouts vs each en route to comfortable victories across the board. Wesleyan started off with a Little Three win over Williams, 34-10, followed by a 21-10 deiciosn over Oneonta, then capped the day with a 35-10 triumph over Plymouth. Wesleyan is now 10-6 on the year with one dual match remaining, that against Oswego St. Sat., Feb. 11, in a match slated for a webcast. At 174 pounds, Kyle Roosa '13 (photo) raised his seasonal dual-match mark to 11-5 by gaining a 10-4 decision over the Ephs, a major decision vs. the Red Dragons and a pin vs. the Panthers. Joey Schwartz '14 won both his matches to improve to 8-1 in dual matches at 133 pounds. Jefferson Ajayi '13 upped his team-leading mark to 13-3 with a pair of decisions and a forfeit victory at 184 pounds.
