Cardinals Up NESCAC Wins to 4 with Victories over Conn, Colby and Bates in Final 8 Days of Season

In a series that has had streaks of seven straight wins for Wesleyan and five in a row for Conn over the years to get to a 19-19 stalemate after 38 matches, the Cardinals forged into the all-time series lead with a 7-2 victory Sun., April 21 during senior day festivities. Wesleyan's lone senior, Genevieve Aniello '13 (left side photo) celebrate the day by winning her singles match at #3, 6-2, 2-6, 6-2, after pairing with Clare DuBrin '15 (right side photo) for an 8-3 triumph at #1 doubles. DuBrin made short work of her singles match at #1 with a 6-1, 6-0 victory. Also winning handily in singles was #4 Jessica Seidman '16, 6-1, 6-2, and #6 Lauren Jacobs '15, 6-1, 6-0. Jacobs and Grace Smith '14 combined for an 8-2 win at #2 doubles while Nicki Softness '14 and Kiley Robbins '14 teamed up for an 8-0 #3 doubles win.
