Women's Track Sets Two School Records During New England Open Meet, Then Sets Two More at ECACs
Despite coming away empty in the team point department, Wesleyan established two school records while competing in the New England Open meet at Stonehill, which featured many Division I and II colleges as only one school among the top 10 finishers (Tufts) was a Division III entry. The meet concluded Sat., May 11. The 4x100m relay squad of Idara Foster '15 (photo lower right), Alexis Walker '16 (photo lower left), Lia Monti '13 (photo upper right) and Melissa Luning '15 (photo upper left) took 11th place over and third among Division III teams with a time of :48.24, nipping .12 seconds off the Wesleyan record set in 2001. Placing 12th in the shot put, anf fifth among Division III participants, Sierra Livious '14 (center photo) shattered her recently established school record in the shot put with a toss of 41-9 3/4, well over a foot above her earlier mark this season of 40-5 1/2.
