Wesleyan finished 15th of 24 scoring teams during the annual New England Division III women's indoor track championships, this year held at Bowdoin College Fri.-Sat., Feb. 20-21. The Cardinals totaled 12 scoring points as the team had a top-eight finisher in five events.
Leading the way for Wesleyan was Julia Frieze '12 (photo), as she provided fifth-place points in the 400m dash, timed in :59.80. She also was part of both the 4x200m relay which took sixth and the 4x400m relay which placed eighth. Lisa Sussman '09 and Kiran Sheffrin '10 were both members of both relays as well. Sussman added a seventh-place clocking of 2:19.42 in the 800m run. Kathryn Kulowski '11 was on the 4x200m relay and captured eighth place in the high jump, clearing 5-0 1/4. The final member of the 4x400m relay was Lilly Fesler '12.
The next action for the squad will be at Boston U. on Fri.-Sat, Feb. 27-28 for the New England open championships.
