The 2011 women's cross country squad returns many of its strong contributors of the 2010 team. The team has a great deal of experience back and will rely on its veteran talent to return to NCAAs after qualifying for the third time in history in 2009. The Cardinals’ top runner, Julia Mark '13 (photo upper right), returns to lead to what should be a successful season. She ran 18:18 for the 5000m and placed seventh in the 10,000m at the NESCAC Track Championships during the spring. Also returning will be the Cardinals’ consistent number two runner, Libby Lazare '14 (photo lower right), who ran 18:20 on the track for 5000m. Team captain Hannah Zimmerman '13 (photo left side, 18:15/5000m ; fourth in NESCAC 10,000m), Nellie Triedman ’13 (18:23/5000m) and Tess Crain ’12 (18:50/5000m) also return to make for the deepest squad in some time. Chloe Lalonde ’13 (5:06/1500m) and Nicole Lepre ’12 (5:02/1500m) will help with the depth of the team.
