Overview
This is the home page for Wesleyan's Content Management Project. The goal of this project is to analyze Wesleyan's existing content management practices and to develop a set of recommended changes in our practices to accomodate changes in the ways that information is produced and used on our campus.
As a framework for thinking about this complex topic, we used the OCLC Collections Grid shown below. (See http://www.oclc.org/reports/escan/appendices/collectiongrid.htm )

While one can quibble with the placement of various types of content, and what is missing from these lists, the framework provides a starting point for thinking about how Wesleyan as an institution should spend its precious resources in acquiring and managing the materials its faculty and students need in order to engage in teaching, research, and scholarly communications in the 21st century.
