Synoecism (Coming Together) by Robert Bresnick, Leslie Weinberg and Brian Johnson, Puppetsweat Theater's inaugural production, was performed in 1995 at Theater for the New City in New York. Syneocism was a puppet and multimedia performance in nine movements about the historical roots and contemporary prevalence of fear and alienation in American society. The piece alternately contrasted the contemporary experience of the individual with a representation of the historical migrations to America.
Synoecism featured Brian Johnson, Melissa Sylvester, Rolande Duprey, Kelly Donovan, Aggie Postman, Josh Blaker, and Sharon Murphy.
