For the Sexes: The Gates of Paradise , composed by Martin Bresnick, performed by Lisa Moore, animated by Leslie Weinberg, and directed by Robert Bresnick is adapted from the work, of the same name, by William Blake. Composed for piano and voice For the Sexes is accompanied by projected video animation.
For the Sexes premiered March 20, 2000 at Miller Auditorium, Columbia University, NY, NY. It has since been presented throughout the USA, Europe, and Australia.

"A coherent multi-sensorial work, it invites sustained attention from a far wider audience than 'pure' concert music can hope to do. The proliferation of buzzwords such as cross art form and multi-media has been used to describe many mediocre efforts. This is not one of them".
