I believe Wesleyan serves an important national purpose-educating and developing men and women who will make crucial decisions affecting our nation and our families. Some of our graduates will hold leadership positions that directly influence the lives of millions. Many will dedicate themselves to nurturing children growing up in a difficult and complex world. Wesleyan reaches deeply into our lives.
We know that Wesleyan is neither a simple nor an easy place, but it always provokes thought, and it challenges each of us. What better way to prepare young men and women for life and leadership in a world that is, likewise, neither simple nor easy.
There are many ways to support Wesleyan-donating your time and intelligence, carrying the banner for Wesleyan, and, of course, helping finance its future.
I promise you that when you contribute to the Wesleyan Campaign, your gift will produce results: 20 new professorships that sustain and enhance academic excellence; a substantial increase in our ability to grant scholarships to deserving students and reduce the burden of debt they carry when they graduate; a steady increase in participation in the Annual Fund that demonstrates we are Wesleyan’s family and we will stand up for our institution; and, a renewal of the campus that ensures Wesleyan’s legacy for the next generation and generations to come.
Please join me in supporting Wesleyan. It is an institution with great ambitions and a serious plan to realize them. It deserves our best.
