The Stewart M. Reid Admission Center was dedicated on November 25, 1999. Funded with advance campaign gifts, the building was designed to make prospective students and their families feel welcome. Judging from the building's popularity among on- and off-campus groups, it is clear we have succeeded.
Wesleyan is currently enjoying great momentum in the educational marketplace. The number and academic strength of our applicants is on the rise, and these increases heighten our selectivity - allowing Wesleyan to choose the best students from an expanding pool of applicants. These statistics, along with the positive feedback we hear from visitors, validate our efforts to enhance student recruitment through a centrally located and welcoming admission center.
Next time you visit campus to attend Reunion and Commencement or Homecoming/Family Weekend, or if you're just passing through, take a moment to visit Reid House - the latest addition to our campus.
33 generous donors made gifts ranging from $1 million to $2,000 to fund the Stewart M. Reid Admission Center.
