			Scholarships Freeman Asian Scholars Program Fund For Excellence Professorships and Academic Programs Facilities Wesleyan Annual Fund Fund for Excellence - $21 million The Fund for Excellence is a bold step for Wesleyan. With its $21 million in bridge financing, which is being raised as current gifts, the Fund is enabling us to make progress particularly in two crucial areas: student aid and faculty distinction. We created this fund believing that our donors share our vision for more equitable financial aid packages and continued intense, personal teaching across the curriculum. Early campaign gifts to the Fund for Excellence are, among other uses, allowing us to move ahead immediately to reduce student loans by 30 percent and begin hiring new faculty so we can establish a faculty-student ratio of just under 10:1 and strengthen key academic areas. We are asking donors to provide permanent endowment funds to support these priorities as the campaign unfolds. Thanks to the Fund for Excellence, our efforts are already paying dividends in the recruitment of new students and faculty.
