Career Outlook: Winter Break Job Shadowing Opportunities for Undergraduates
PURPOSE:
The Career Outlook Program provides undergraduates an opportunity to explore
careers through shadowing a Wesleyan alumni or parent during Winter Break. Shadow opportunities range from 1 day to 2 weeks and may include observing a
professional or participating in a specific project within an organization
or business.
This program is one of the many ways through the Career Center for alumni and parents
to connect with and mentor Wesleyan students regarding issues of career
development and planning.
*Please note: You are not responsible for housing, travel or a stipend for the participating student.
STUDENT ELIGIBILITY
All currently enrolled Wesleyan undergraduates can participate in a Career
Outlook experience. Please note that the application process is open (i.e.,
the Career Center does not screen certain applicants for certain positions)
and therefore we cannot guarantee that all sponsors will receive
applications.
DATES OF PARTICIPATION
This year, students and mentors can participate in a Career Outlook
opportunity anytime between January 3 through January 20, 2012. The mentor
can choose any days and times during that period and can select one or more
final candidates for the opportunity.
