Office of Community Service
Offers numerous volunteer opportunities to work with children and youth in the
local community. Check out the several robust tutoring programs in area
schools.

- The world's
leading provider of employer-sponsored child care, back-up care, early
education, and work/life solutions.
Child's Play NY,
Brooklyn Heights, NY - Great summer internship working with children at a summer
arts camp (musical theater, film, drama and more) run by an '02 alumna with an
MFA from NYU. Pays small stipend.
Citizen
Schools Nationwide - Participants work at a nonprofit organization in the morning and
at after schools programs for students in the middle grades (6th, 7th, and 8th
grades) in the afternoon.
Girls,
Inc., Oakland, CA - Offers academic enrichment programs, skills-building
activities and counseling services to girls and their families.
Exploration Summer
- On the campuses of: St. Paul's School, NH; Wellesley College, Wellesley, MA;
Yale University, New Haven, CT - Featuring more courses,
activities, and trips than any other summer program, Exploration Summer is a
unique and supportive learning environment.
Harlem Children's Zone
Harlem, NY - A pioneering,
non-profit, community-based organization that works to enhance the quality of
life for children and families in New York City.

MATCH Corps -
MATCH Corps is a new program in which recent college graduates from excellent
schools across the country commit one year to do public service in exchange for
a modest living stipend and housing on the third floor of the MATCH School.
Corps members work with four students, tutoring them each for two hours daily.
New England Center for Children and School for
Autism - A non-profit school for children with autism.
Oasis Children's Services - Creating
safe, enriching and accessible youth programs for children including summer day
camps and after school programs in the NYC area.
Overland
