AJWS (American Jewish World Service) - 12 months spent with Ruth Messinger on her professional travel.
AJWS World Partners Fellowship - Partially funded, 10-month intensive international volunteer program.
Ashoka - Funding program for social entrepreneurs.
Coro Fellows Program in Public Affairs - Leadership training program (charges tuition).
Echoing Green Public Service Fellowship - Must be 18 and have an organization in start-up mode.
Elie Wiesel Foundation for Humanity - Prize in Ethics Essay Contest.  $5000 to juniors or seniors.
Institute of Current World Affairs - Self-designed, independent study abroad for minimum of two years.
J. W. Saxe Memorial Prize - $2,000 is awarded to college students involved in public service.
Morris K. Udall Foundation Scholarship - Eighty scholarships of up to $5000 and 50 honorable mentions of $350 to sophomore and junior level college students committed to careers related to the environment, tribal public policy, or Native American health care.
Public Policy & International Affairs Fellowship Program -- All expenses paid, w/$1500 stipend.  Prepares college juniors for advanced degrees and careers serving the common good with a focus on policy.  Focus is also on students from groups underrepresented in leadership positions within government, NPOs, and other institutional settings.
Samuel Huntington Public Service Award - Provides a $10,000 stipend for a graduating college senior to pursue one year of public service anywhere in the world.
Smart Growth America -- Provides 6-12 month fellowship/$1500 p/month in DC to work on policy issues.
StartingBloc - Training institute to develop leaders in social innovation; charges a tuition fee; financial aid available.  Does not include a job or work experience component.
Thomas Pickering Fellowship - Pays for last year of undergraduate study (Juniors) or first year of graduate study (Seniors applying to grad school) in exchange for commitment to work for the US Dept. of State after graduation.
Villers Fellowship for Health Care Justice - Work on health care justice issues for one year.
Wellstone Fellowship for Social Justice - Advance social justice through health-care advocacy.  Year-long, full-time, salaried position in Washington DC.
William J. Clinton Fellowship for Service in India - Must be 21; work with an Indian NGO in India.  Great experience.


Beyond Graduate School or With Required Experience

National Council of Research on Women, Amex Fellows Program - Promotes advancement and retention of women leaders in the nonprofit sector.
Presidential Management Fellowship
- Two-year paid fellowship for graduate students or post-graduate school.
