  • Center for Community Change - Helps organizations build their communities' capacity for self-help, develop strong leaders, provide critical services, build homes, develop businesses, give residents a say in their community's future and give low income people a sense of hope.
  • Chronicle of Philanthropy - Includes numerous job listings that appear in the Chronicle as well as many linkages to nonprofit organizations.
  • Community Career Center - Includes hundreds of job listings with nonprofits. Site also allows candidates to advertise their interests and qualifications ($25 for six months). Search engine enables user to specify preferred salary range, location, skills and field or mission of interest. Lists numerous members with Web linkages.
  • Council on Foundations - Includes a job bank; descriptions of the various types of foundations; and information about conferences and workshops.
  • Environmental Careers Organization - Career tips and paid internships.
  • Good Works - "Links" provides a brief list of U.S. advocacy organizations.
  • Guidestar.org - Find potential employers on this excellent searchable database of over 600,000 nonprofit organizations around the country. (Does not include job listings.)
  • National Parks Service - Career advice from the NPS. When looking for internships, they recommend contacting specific parks, as they do not offer internships at the larger organizational level.

  • Nonprofit Career Network - Designed for and dedicated to the nonprofit sector of today's business and economic world, the site's desire is to be a one-stop resource for non-profit and volunteer organizations and opportunities.
  • Nonprofit Watch - The official Web site of the NonProfit Accountability Project (NPAP), an independent project that investigates public interest groups and raises issues regarding transparency, conflicts of interest, and accountability within the nonprofit community.
