About

One of Wesleyan’s most distinctive qualities is the shared mission of our students, faculty, and staff to engage and improve the world through practical idealism. Our ability to positively influence the world at large starts with respect and care for the people in our own campus community. Wesleyan CARES is a campus committee dedicated to cultivating a community of participatory care at Wesleyan—where we intervene rather than stand by, where we take care of each other.

Through training, Wesleyan CARES seeks to empower the community to intervene by removing the obstacles that prevent us from action when our response is required. Wesleyan CARES will engage the entire campus in seeking new and better ways to promote community building through individual responsibility.
