Q:  What furnishings are provided?

A:   Rooms contain a bed, desk, desk chair, and dresser for each student.

Q:  What items should I bring with me?

A:   You will need to bring your own personal items, such as blankets, pillows, linens, towels, desk lamps/bulbs, alarm clock, and fans. Hot plates, toaster ovens and similar items are not allowed.

Q:  When is the on-campus housing available?

A:   On-campus housing is available for five nights (Sunday to Friday morning, June 12 to June 17, or June 19 to June 24, depending on the course/session week for which you are registered) or 12 nights (Sunday, June 12 to Friday morning June 24, if you are taking courses during both weeks).

Q:  Do I need a Wesleyan identification card?

A:  Yes, the WesCard is used as your identification card at Wesleyan.  The WesCard enables you access to campus facilities including on-campus housing, laundry facilities, and, if you select the dining option, payment for meals on campus and at select off campus locations (please see WesCard Dining Locations listed at the end of this document).

If the Continuing Studies office receives your registration form by Friday, June 3, 2005, we will mail your WesCard Student Identification Card to you ahead of time. Otherwise, you will need to pick up your WesCard from the Office of Public Safety at 208 High Street, (860) 685-2345.

Q:  Is shuttle service available from/to local airports and/or train stations?

A:   Yes, transportation to the campus is available for Summer Dance Institute students. Please contact Wesleyan University's Transportation Services office at (860) 685-3788 or  mcurridori@wesleyan.edu at least one week in advance to make arrangements and to discuss rates.

If University transportation is unavailable for your arrival, please contact Dreamweavers Limousine toll-free (866) 674-5466, which offers a discounted Wesleyan rate.

Q:  Where can I pick up my dorm room key?

A:  Once you arrive on campus, you can pick up your room key by presenting your WesCard at the Office of Public Safety located at 208 High Street.  If you do not have your WesCard, please present another form of identification (i.e. driver's license) to pickup your WesCard and room key.  The office is staffed 24 hours a day.  The phone number is (860) 685-2345.  Your WesCard will give you access to the main entrance of the housing facility.

Q:  During my stay, whom should I call with housing issues?

A:   For housing issues, such as leaky faucets, sticky windows, and damaged furniture, that may arise during your stay, please call Physical Plant-Facilities at (860) 685-3400.

A:   Please return your room key to the Office of Public Safety located at 208 High Street. Room keys must be returned anytime before you leave depending on your last day of class.  Please note that you will be billed by the Housing Office for unreturned keys.
