ECON 148
The Economics of Climate Change

Professor Gary Yohe (co-winner of the Nobel Prize as a member of the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) co-created a module with choreographer Ann Carlson. They explored alternative ways of communicating the risks of climate change, and on creating portraits of risk and concern through photographs and movement.

"Three class modules explored alternative ways of communicating the risks of climate change through color, photographs and movement. Bringing these modes of expression to the class broadened the scope of the class.  Students also saw the reason for seeking alternative means of expressing risks and sensitivities across multiple metrics (some economic, some human, some ecological) in ways that can help assess comparability and relative value."
