Wesleyan University's Center for the Arts Appoints Interim Associate Director Michelle Grove

Middletown, Conn. — Wesleyan University’s Center for the Arts has appointed Michelle Grove as Interim Associate Director as of Monday, July 18, 2016. Prior to joining the Center for the Arts, Ms. Grove worked as the Performing Arts Program Officer at the Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation, where she had overseen regional performing arts touring programs since 2012. Originally from Columbia, Maryland, she holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance and French from the University of Maryland, College Park; and a Master's in Arts Management from American University. Ms. Grove is also a graduate of the 2012-2013 Future Executive Directors Fellowship of The Nonprofit Roundtable of Greater Washington. She previously was the Director of Grants for the Arts and Humanities Council of Montgomery County in Maryland, where she oversaw their grant-making programs. She also worked as a professional violinist and instructor for a number of years. She has served as Co-Chair of the Emerging Leaders Council of Americans for the Arts and Emerging Arts Leaders D.C., a member of the Washington Grantmakers' Arts and Humanities Working Group, and on grant panels for many state, regional, and local agencies. Ms. Grove has been a presenter at numerous regional and national meeting and conferences, and was Chair of the Board of Directors for Kid Power in Washington, D.C. She currently resides in New Haven.
