    DIS: Study Abroad in Scandinavia (Copenhagen) 

    Fall, spring, or full year. Students enroll in a Danish language course and choose from a range of courses in the humanities and social sciences (psychology, sociology and government), marine biology or architecture. Interested students are urged to apply early due to high demand. Admissions are rolling and the program fills quickly. Wesleyan students may only choose from among the following three housing options

    British American Drama Academy
    Fall or spring. 4 credits. Specialized island program offering scene study and technical preparation for the stage, run by Sarah Lawrence College. Requires an audition. Restricted to theater majors

    Boston University London Internship Program
    Fall or spring. Please see the Academic Regulations page for information on receiving credit for internships. Note that not all departments accept credits for internships.  Please consult with the OSA staff.

  • England (Cambridge, Oxford, University of London)

    University of London, University of Oxford and University of Cambridge are organized according to the British college system. Although governed by the university, each college has a considerable degree of autonomy. Wesleyan sudents apply to a college directly or through a study abroad provider organization and not to the university's admissions department. 

    Instruction at the University of Cambridge and University of Oxford functions according to the British tutorial system.  Trese programs are therefore recommended for highly motivated students who are able and accustomed to working independently. Prerequesite: a GPA of 90.

    Vassar-Wesleyan Program in Paris 
    Fall, spring, or full year. Prerequisite: French 215 or the equivalent. Highly qualified students with 4 semesters (French 112) of college French may be considered under special circumstances. Exceptional opportunities for enrolling in courses in a broad range of disciplines (arts and humanities, social sciences, natural sciences and math) at many of the U. of Paris campuses.  Intensive language and culture orientation in Bordeaux (August) prior to the fall semester. Courses for international students available as well in the humanities and social sciences. This program is strongly recommended for students wishing to make normal progress in any major while pursuing proficiency in French.

    Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po) Exchange Program
    Spring or full year only. Prerequisite: French 215 or the equivalent, with a grade of B+ or higher.

    Columbia University "Shape of Two Cities" Program (New York and Paris)
    Full year only. Fall semester in New York, spring semester in Paris. 8-10 credits. This is a specialized program in architecture or urban studies.

  • Germany

    Duke in Berlin (Berlin)
    Fall, spring, or full year. Prerequisite: German 211 or the equivalent. Students enrolled for the entire academic year or for the spring semester only may take courses at the Freie University, Humboldt University or the Technical University. Internships are also available upon request. Please contact the German Studies faculty for more information.

    Smith in Hamburg (Hamburg)
    Full-year or spring only. Prerequisites: GRST 214 or the equivalent for the full year program; GRST 211 or the equivalent for spring semester only.   • Greece
    CYA in Athens (Athens)
    Fall, spring or full year. Students enroll in a Greek language course and choose from a range of courses in Classical studies, Mediterranean studies, archeology and anthropology.
  • Hungary

    Aquincum Institute of Tecnology (AIT) (Budapest)
    Fall or spring. Intensive program focusing on computer science. Students enroll in a Hungarian language course and choose from a range of courses in history, culture and computer science. Check with OSA regarding course credit.

    Budapest Semesters in Mathematics (Budapest)
    Fall, spring or full year. Focused program on mathematics at the Technical University of Budapest. Students enroll in a Hungarian language course and choose from a range of courses in math or area studies.

    CIEE in Budapest: Central European Studies (Budapest)
    Fall or spring. Students enroll in a Hungarian language course and choose from a range of courses in East European studies. Internship (must be pre-approved for credit) and homestay possibilities. Best for ANTH, ARHA, ECON, GOVT, HIST, IR, literature.

    CV Starr Middlebury School in Russia (Irkutsk, Moscow or Yaroslavl)

    Moscow Art Theater Semester (O’Neill National Theater Institute)
    Fall or spring. Intensive performance program.  Students enroll as well in a Russian language course. Students are expected to study of Russian before participating in this program and to take a further course after returning to campus. Restricted to Theater majors
