Adam grew up in Middlesboro, Kentucky. After completing a year at Transylvania University in Lexington, KY, he transferred to Wesleyan, from which he will graduate with a B.A. in Molecular Biology & Biochemistry and Science in Society in May 2009. Adam joined the Taylor lab in September 2007, spent Spring 2008 studying global health through the International Honors Program, and returned to the Taylor lab for his senior year; he initiated research toward the characterization of V. cholerae WavA & WaaC proteins. Now graduated from Wesleyan, Adam is working for the Peace Corp and he anticipates traveling around the world for a few years prior to the eventual completion of an M.D./M.P.H. He enjoys olives, coffee, cholera, and running.
