Directions to Leermakers Symposium

The Symposium is scheduled to be held in the Exley Science Center Auditorium, Room 150, Lawn Avenue.  The Science Center on Church Street opposite Olin Library. The Science Center is also accessible from Lawn Avenue. Parking on local streets is strictly limited. Map to Wesleyan University.

From Northern New York State:  Pick up Route 90 (The Massachusetts Turnpike), heading East. At Springfield, take Route 91 South and follow the next directions.

From Bradley Field and the North:  Take Interstate 91 South, through Hartford to Exit 22S (Route 9). Follow Route 9 (limited access) to the Connecticut River, through one stop light. Turn right at the next stop light onto Route 66 West (Washington Street). Stay on Washington Street through four more stop lights. At the fifth light, turn left on Vine Street. The parking lot is on the right, past the tennis courts. The Symposium is being held at the Science Center on Church Street, two blocks away. Signs will direct you.

From the South:  Take Interstate 91 or the Wilbur Cross Parkway to Meriden and take the exit Middletown, following Route 691 East. This becomes Route 66 near Middletown. Go past a shopping center and under a large railroad bridge. At the next stop light, turn right onto Vine Street. The parking lot is on the right, past tennis courts. The Symposium is being held at the Science Center on Church Street, two blocks away. Signs will direct you.

From the Southeast:  Take Route 9 (limited access) into Middletown. At the first stop light, turn left onto Route 66 West (Washington Street). Stay on Washington Street through four more stop lights. At the fifth light, turn left on Vine Street. The parking lot is on the right, past the tennis courts. The Symposium is being held at the Science Center on Church Street, two blocks away. Signs will direct you.

From the Radisson Hotel (or Comfort Inn or Holiday Inn): Take Route 372 East, then South on Route 3 (just before entrance to Route 9 South). Travel approximately 3 miles to major stop light intersection with Route 66 (also called Washington Street). Cross this intersection. You are now on Vine Street. Parking lot is just beyond tennis courts. The Symposium is being held at the Science Center on Church Street, two blocks away. Signs will direct you.
