 Students interested in the interface of biology and chemistry may choose to follow the biological chemistry track within the chemistry major. In this track, a more biologically oriented physical chemistry course is substituted fro the normal physical chemistry requirements. In addition, one semester of introductory biology and advanced courses in biochemistry are required. Students are encouraged to perform research with one of the participating faculty and to attend the Biochemistry seminar series. This course of study is an excellent preparation for medical school or graduate school in biochemistry. Students interested in this program should contact any the the participating faculty.
