X. Appendix E - Practicum

Credit:

• 0.25 – 1.00 credit
• Pass/Fail grading

Summer Credit Fee:

• charged at 1/10 the semester tuition as per current Wesleyan policy

Process:

1. Student works with chair of CEC Advisory Panel to identify potential practicum hosts and to prepare applications
2. Student secures Letter of Offer from host organization indicating assigned supervisor
3. Student and supervisor complete a Learning Agreement stipulating:
   1. goals for the experience listing learning outcomes
   2. specific duties, expectations, and duration of work
   3. supervisor provided list of required readings
4. Chair of CEC Advisory Panel or faculty mentor signs off on Learning Agreement.
5. At the end of the practicum, both the student and the supervisor fill out and submit an Evaluation of Experience Form
6. Upon completion of all requirements, Chair of CEC Advisory Panel or faculty mentor records grade of pass or fail.
