Each year the College of the Environment hosts a number of symposia and annual events that bring together diverse audiences to learn about, debate and discuss the most pressing environmental issues of our day. COE annual events include:

Pumpkin Fest We set aside a Saturday every fall since 2004 to celebrate the harvest at Wesleyan's Long Lane Farm. Long Lane Farm is an organic student-run farm that supplies high quality organic food to local residents of the Middletown area as well as to food pantries and soup kitchens.

Where on Earth Are We Going? Taken from the title of Maurice Strong's monumental work, the COE's annual Where on Earth Are We Going? Robert F. Schumann Environmental Studies Symposium has occurred on the Saturday of Wesleyan's Homecoming or Family Weekend every year since 2004. Each year's symposium focuses on a critical environmental topic and has brought to Wesleyan the people who are at the forefronts of these issues.

Earth Day Since 2004, we have celebrated Earth Day with a variety of events that range from keynote addresses to screening new environmental films to performance pieces.
