Caitlin Aylward is a current senior at Wesleyan University majoring in the College of Social Studies, a multidisciplinary program that includes history, government, economics, and social theory. Her passion for food justice has led her to intern with her local farmers’ market, the Community Food Security Coalition in Portland Oregon, and the Nourishing the Planet project at the World Watch Institute in Washington DC. She is currently working on her thesis about food justice, investigating both the theoretical and practical implications of the commodification and corporate domination of food resources.

Evan Weber is an undergraduate pursuing degrees in Environmental Studies and Economics at Wesleyan University. At Wesleyan, Evan has been active in environmental, climate, and social justice activism, planning events, actions, and trips and organizing students. He also served as the Chair of the Green Fund Committee and on the Executive Committee of the Wesleyan Student Assembly. Over breaks, he has interned for a green building non-profit, an electrical utility, and directed an office for a political advocacy non-profit. His thesis focuses on the environmental justice implications of U.S. greenhouse gas taxation, particularly the disproportionate burden it would have on people of lower income.
