Project Goals:
Wesleyan University has constructed a new addition to the Freeman Athletic Center. This addition will accommodate the athletic programs currently located in the center of campus in the Alumni Athletic Building, Fayerweather Gymnasium and Squash Courts building. This new addition will maximize program space by achieving a simple, functional and attractive design.

Project Details:
The project includes a new 56,000 square foot addition and over 15,000 square feet of renovations  . It will include a new gymnasium, which will seat over 1,000 spectators, a new 7,500 square foot fitness center and eight international squash courts. The renovations include a new multi-purpose room, rowing center, upgrades to the existing athletic injury care facility, a new zamboni room including a melting pit and a new corridor through the existing ice rink. The new addition will accommodate varsity men's and women's basketball, varsity men's and women's squash, varsity women's volleyball, club men's volleyball, recreational basketball and squash, rowing practice, and supporting lockers and storage facilities.
