Econometrics is the study of statistical techniques for analyzing economic data. The course reviews multiple regression and develops several more advanced estimation techniques. Students work on individual research
and learn to use econometric software.

EXAMINATIONS AND ASSIGNMENTS
Regular problem sets, two take-home exams, and a semester-long research project applying econometric analysis to a data set chosen by the student.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS and/or COMMENTS
Students are required to use statistical computer programs (Stata, EViews), which are available in the campus data labs.
