EXAMINATIONS AND ASSIGNMENTS
Students will be expected to write a great deal. This means completing weekly writing assignments and informal written analyses of assigned readings, and revising work on assignments from previous weeks as necessary. In
addition, students will complete
three polished pieces, 6-8 pages in length. The final project will be an expanded version of one of these three pieces. There will be no examinations. Grades will be based equally on classroom participation and the
completion and quality of written work.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS and/or COMMENTS
Students should be willing to share their work in peer-editing and in guided workshops. Attendance is strictly required. Any student with more than three unexcused absences may be dropped from the course at any point
during the semester. Any student who
