Techniques of Fiction

An introduction to the elements of fiction and a range of contemporary styles, for people who want to write or simply to increase their understanding and appreciation of short stories.

EXAMINATIONS AND ASSIGNMENTS
Six short exercises in various elements of fiction, two short stories, one revision, and regular entries in a writing journal. Attendance at every class required.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS and/or COMMENTS
May not be taken in addition to another introductory fiction-writing course. May not be taken in the same semester as another writing course.
