Guide to Recruiting at Wesleyan
The Wesleyan University Career Resource Center uses EASE (MyCRC)
to facilitate the on-campus job posting and interviewing process. MyCRC enables employers to easily post job descriptions, view
applicant resumes and cover letters, and make decisions for interviewing
candidates via the internet. If you wish to list a position for
undergraduate students in Wesleyan's MyCRC system, you can
create an account on the
site for employers.
Below are the ways you can attract Wesleyan

Resume/Cover Letter Collections
(for internships and/or entry-level jobs)
We welcome internship and job postings from employers seeking liberal
arts candidates. Online application deadlines for resumes, cover letters,
and any other employer-required materials are scheduled every Tuesday
evening during the fall and spring semesters. Employers with a
MyCRC account
can log in to retrieve resumes themselves or they may choose to receive a
e-mailed bundle of submitted materials in
Adobe PDF
format. If you have a
MyCRC account, you may create the internship/job yourself and we will put it
in the appropriate deadline. Please note: we reserve the right to deny or
remove postings that are not appropriate for Wesleyan students.
On-campus Interviews
We welcome employers interested in interviewing Wesleyan students.
Typical schedules are pre-select (employers choose students in advance from
the applications submitted) with 13 slots of half-hour interviews starting
at 8:30am and ending at 5:00pm. We can also do half-day schedules and other
time configurations upon request. Wesleyan does not charge employers for
on-campus interview schedules.
For employers who don't already have
a recruiting account,
we will create one to enable you to enter and edit information about your
organization -- such as organization Web site, recruiting contacts, and the
qualifications for the internships/jobs you want to publicize. We also
encourage employer representatives to use
MyCRC to make their
interview selections. Please send an e-mail request to
recruiting@wesleyan.edu if you are interested in setting up an interview schedule.
Information Sessions and Tables
Information sessions or tables are a great, informal, way for students to
learn about your organization and generate interest in an upcoming
resume/cover letter collection. Information sessions typically last about an
hour and take place in a classroom or lecture hall. Many employers bring
PowerPoint, VHS, or DVD presentations but also leave plenty of time for
student questions. For information tables, employers are set up in the Usdan
University Center where they can talk informally with passing
students, generally between the hours of 11am and 2pm. We encourage
employers to hold information sessions at least a week prior to an online
application deadline. Please send an e-mail request to
recruiting@wesleyan.edu if you are interested in setting up an information session or
information table.
Consortia Events and Career Fairs
Wesleyan participates in a number of recruiting consortia (off-campus
interview days) with other liberal arts colleges, including the Fall
Recruiting Consortium in New York and the Eastern College Career Days in
Boston and New York. Click here for an
overview of our consortia events and career fairs. Please send an e-mail
request to recruiting@wesleyan.edu
if your organization would like to participate in a consortium event.
Experienced Job Postings
For employers whose jobs are more appropriate for experienced candidates,
we recommend two resources: the
Liberal Arts Career NetWORK,
where employers can post positions, for free, to be seen by students and
alumni at 29 liberal arts colleges; or
MonsterTRAK, a searchable network for
all college/university students and alumni (there may be a fee to post on
MonsterTRAK). Wesleyan alumni and parents are also eligible to post
positions to Cardinal Jobs, our listserv for alumni, by alumni. To submit an
experienced
job posting for Cardinal Jobs, please
