Grants & Fellowships

There are considerable benefits to winning a competitive grant or fellowship, including academic prestige, substantial financial assistance, outstanding opportunity for travel, research, and professional development, recognition from one’s peers, and a deep sense of personal achievement.

Some of the most desirable, competitive, and nationally recognized grants and fellowships involve campus selection committees, so it is important to clearly understand the application process for each.  Review the information provided below in “Grants & Fellowships Administered on Campus”, and then call or email the designated contact to discuss the requirements and application procedures in more detail.

Candidates for fellowships should be serious about the process, and fully aware of the deadlines!  Request official transcripts and letters of recommendation ahead of time, and avoid waiting until the last minute to write your proposal and complete the application.  Create a timeline and adhere to it in order to stay ahead of the deadlines.

The competition for fellowships is keen.  Determination and early preparation are essential!
